As a family physician working on the front lines, Dr. Taylor became acutely aware of the opioid crisis facing Ontarians. As a result, he decided to dedicate his efforts to understanding and treating addictions based on up-to-date, evidence-based medicine through the completion of extensive training. Drug addiction is all-encompassing but disproportionately affects Indigenous communities. Dr. Taylor is involved in coordinating and developing addiction clinics in Northern Ontario. Road to Recovery Health Clinics was born to supply care to the most vulnerable patients across Ontario. Dr. Taylor is proud of the quality of care provided to his patients. The team at Road to Recovery (RTR) collaborates with the patient’s circle of care, from family to social workers and pharmacists.
